Introduction

Initial Ideas and thoughts.
My initials ideas for my FMP is shadow puppets but instead of using paper for the silhouette character I am going to use after effects animation on which I would demonstrate abusive parents instead of loving parent because I think it will have more impact on the viewers, Im goin to do an advert for the NSPCC which help child that being abuse by thier parent/guardians.

My Animation will contain the logo of the NSPCC in the Intro and Outro of the animation, No actual voice will be displayed on the animation but Im going to put more dramatic music to suit the theme and the atmosphere of the animation.

Physical Abuse:
- Involves Hitting, Shaking, Throwing, Poisoning,Burning, Suffocating, or Mainly causing serious physical harm to the child.

Emotional Abuse:
- Saying to that s/he is worthless, unloved, inadequate, or they mean to say that s/he need to have new parents.
- Parent being overprotection, limitation of exploration and learning, preventing the child to be part of a normal interaction with other children.
- Causing a child to feel frightened or in danger e.g. witnessing violence, seeing or hearing the ill treatment of another children.
- Emotional abuse is involved types of ill treatment of children, though emotional abuse alone.

Sexual Abuse:
-Sexual abuse involves force the child to partake in a sexual activies, whether the child knows that its happening.
-Sexual Abuse that may lead to rape and other sort of sexual intercourse with the parents or guardian.


RESEARCH
Ive research on poster that may relate to my animation, abusive scenery, locations, or other that may relate and help my development of my animation.



General Background on
Silhouette & Shadow Play
We start off with the shadow play because it was used back in the days as some sort of ancient story telling/entertainment for children alson know as Shadow Pupperty.
Shadow Puppetry was originated in China it was during the Han Dynasty the Emperors concubinage(a woman who he cant marry for specific reason) died due to illness, devastated the emperor summond his officers and told them to bring her back to life so the officers made the concubinage using donkey leather, which then used for festival and scatter thoughout the parts of Asia i.e Taiwan, France, Indonesia, India and Thailand.

Silhouette animation is animation based on black silhouette characters on which ussually accomplished by backlight and cutout cardboards, but there's other method to do silhouette shadowplay.
Silhouette Animation was first introduce by the European as "Shadow Play" it was known as a short subject and was invented by several people i.e The Sporting Mice in (1909) by British Film Director Charles Armstrong.


CUT-OUT ANIMATION
Some cut-out animation was invented by lotte Reiniger which taken from many differnt forms of Stop Motion on which she use a cut-out character/sceen from a paperboad then tied together with thin metal for the joints which he then move frame by frame on a animation stand then film down by using a Rostrum Camera.



Artist Research


Charlotte (Lotte) Reinigger is a German/British silhouette animator and film director her characters is based on cut-out cardboard which then she film using a special camera called Rostrum Camera, the camera is above the main lightbox then changing the movement of her character frame by frame.
I like her style of work because even though its only a silhoutte character u can still feel the emotion on each one the detail and the movement of frames which inspiredme to do a silhouette animation but instead of using cut-out paper ill use vector character then ill use her technique for the background making a cut-out background/scene for my animation to incorporate her as an influence.
