I will be recreating my animation scene and using installation foam as the base of my building and a print-out of the building to paste it on the foam, the only hard part on making this is the way of the board being cut into the shape altho my building is straight forward vector shape it may be difficult to cut the curve around the lamppost and the car wheels.

First I made a mock up design for my buildings which works quite well using normal foam board, glue stick and a print out of my work, it worked quite well but the way of cutting made it difficult and the making it look neat.

Now that I created my mock up i decide to look for a thicker foam and there I found quite few first I looked at foam board but the thickness is only about 3mm and the price is quite to high so i decided to look for more and found installation foam in B&Q which cost cheaply but the texture isn't as fine as the one in the internet when I bought it it has few paint splatter but the thickness and the size is right.

After I bought the foam i then print out all of my building, lamp post and cars to a large format printer which worked quite well, the only hard part is the way of cutting it using a cutter I started to get the outline of my building onto the foam and slowly cutting it.
It was difficult to get the right angle and doing it neatly made it worst for me, the other one that made it worst is how to make stick to the foam which I had to use a adhesive mount spray which didn't worked out quite well because it melted the foam when I sprayed it, so i decided to use either blue tack or double sided tape which Im hoping that it would work.
